These terms and conditions apply to the use of and any orders placed on this website, www.granitehousefortwilliam.co.uk and includes telephone orders placed with The Granite House. By placing an order on our website or over the phone, it is understood that you have read, understood and agreed to our terms and conditions.
We have taken every care to ensure that the information provided for each product is correct. This includes description, measurements colours and pricing. We reserve the right to amend prices at any time. The colours displayed on this website are subject to the limitations of photographic and web processes and therefore we cannot be held responsible for colour variations that may arise because of your browser or computer software.
Orders can be placed through this website using secure SSL technology (please see our Security page for more information) or over the phone. Please note that we are unable to take credit card payments over the phone.
We currently take payment by most major credit cards and PayPal. For phone orders, payment will need to be made via PayPal or bank transfer.
The items offered on our website are subject to availability at the time of ordering. The Granite House is a high street shop in Fort William, Scotland. All the items for sale on www.granitehousefortwilliam.co.uk are also for sale in our shop. While every effort is made to ensure that the stock levels displayed on this website are correct, this is not always possible. If an item ordered is unexpectedly out of stock, we will notify you immediately and offer a full refund or alternative. Please note we have no liability to you for failure to deliver goods to you. We are also not liable to you for any delay in your order arriving because of any events out with our control.
The Granite House are happy to refund or exchange any unwanted or faulty items returned to us within 30 days of receipt. We will issue a refund for the full purchase price on receipt of the item. Products must be returned to us in an unused state complete with all packaging and components. Refunds will be made via your original payment method. You will be responsible for the return postage of the product and therefore we suggest using a tracked service as we cannot be held responsible for items that go missing. We will happily refund all unwanted items except personalised items (unless faulty). Please contact us to let us know you are returning an item to us. We primarily use Royal Mail to deliver our orders but may from time to time use other couriers where necessary. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that orders can be received during normal delivery hours (9am – 5pm). Due to our location in the Scottish Highlands there may be from time to time, unforeseen delays in your order reaching you. Full postage options can be found here.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is UK law and in accordance with this legislation, The Granite House can offer customers a free take-back service for their electronic or electrical product when a new like-for-like item is purchased from us. Please return your like-for-like item to us within 30 days of receiving your new item. We can also dispose of your unwanted batteries if you bring them to our store – please do not send batteries in the post.
